Cerezo Osaka vs Gamba Osaka – Free Live Streaming on the J.League International YouTube Channel on November 3!

It's Derby Day in the MEIJI YASUDA J1 LEAGUE—and our global fans in select markets can catch all the action on our official J.LEAGUE International YouTube channel! Don't miss out as Cerezo Osaka take on Gamba Osaka in a rivalry match on November 3rd!

It’s the derby week at Osaka, as the neighbors of Osaka prefecture galvanize for an intense fixture. Gamba Osaka have recently overtaken their rivals to sit second on the ladder and will be visitors at the Yanmar Stadium Nagai this Tuesday. They have been unbeaten for ten games and won the last three fixtures including a 2-1 victory over Sapporo last week. They have been reproducing their 2008 AFC Champions League (ACL) winning outfit with a balanced display on both ends of the pitch. The derby win would provide an immense impetus for their race towards the end of the season, having been defeated by Cerezo Osaka in the previous meeting. However, Cerezo, too, are in dire need of the three points. Their October slippery has caused them the all-or-nothing ACL spot and are three points behind the second-placed Gamba. Despite their latest fixture being a lackluster defeat to Urawa Red Diamonds, the ten days of recovery may prove to be decisive when faced with the fatigued visitors. The sharpened forwards in Hiroaki Okuno and Yuta Toyokawa may cause trouble for the on-form travelers.

The two are just three points away from third-placed Cerezo Osaka, the spot that guarantees high-stake ACL qualifiers. The host, Kashima come from two straight wins in the league after edging out Sanfrecce Hiroshima through Everaldo Stum screamer. With 13 goals to his bag, he is the Antlers’ marksman. They absolutely need to improve to avoid yet another defensive collapse. Gamba Osaka vs Kashiwa Reysol – Free Live Streaming on the J.League International YouTube Channel on October 24!

Gamba Osaka and Kashiwa Reysol will go toe-to-toe at the Panasonic Stadium Suita in Matchweek 24—and global fans in certain markets will be able to tune in LIVE!

Be sure to visit our official J.LEAGUE International YouTube channel on October 24th at 16:00 JST to catch all the MEIJI YASUDA J1 LEAGUE action!

Gamba are defeat-less for eight games and they invite Kashiwa Reysol to their den. The black and blue’s solid defense have only allowed four behind their net during this period and last week’s clean sheet feat is likely to nullify their previous lackluster three-goal defeat to Kashiwa in the previous meeting. The visitors’ recent struggle also convinces the home side’s conviction, with Kashiwa failing to register any win in their last two games – victimized by Shonan Bellmare outrage. Defensive amendments are a top concern for Nelsinho Baptista, albeit Ataru Esaka is a relief, scoring two goals against Gamba at their last meeting.

The J.League International YouTube Channel will broadcast a free J2 match this weekend. On October 21, we will offer the match between Renofa Yamaguchi and Tokushima Vortis from Match-day 28.

Tokushima, who dropped to second place, will visit Renofa Yamaguchi. In the previous match, the former table-leaders lost to Ventforet Kofu, in what was their first defeat in the last 11 games. The intuitions of their forwards will be the key for them to return to their usual standard. Yamaguchi, on the other hand, come from topping Kyoto Sanga FC last Sunday. They also kept a clean sheet, which is good news for them considering their usually unreliable defense—they will need another top performance at the back in order to get a chance to get a good result against a top team such as Tokushima!

LIVE | Kawasaki Frontale vs F.C.Tokyo | 2020 J.LEAGUE YBC Levain CUP

Global fans can catch a LIVE broadcast of the 2020 J.LEAGUE YBC Levain CUP semi-finals between Kawasaki Frontale and F.C.Tokyo on our official J.LEAGUE International YouTube channel, airing on Wednesday, October 7th at 19:00 JST!

Also known as the ‘Tamagawa Classico’, the highlight of this week’s semi-finals is the invigorating fixture between Kawasaki Frontale and FC Tokyo. Kawasaki have been out-of-reach this season. Leading the 2020 J1 League with 12 points above second-placed Tokyo and thrashing Vissel Kobe on a six-goal rout in the previous stage of the quarterfinal, they are the dominant forces. Firing 16 goals out of four games in this Cup, the annihilators’ artilleries in Yu Kobayashi and Kaoru Mitoma with four and three goals respectively are vital for the Classico to be an interesting fixture.

The Tokyoites are not to worry. In fresh university graduate Shuto Abe, the crosshairs are set on the host’s goal. With Shuto brace during the quarter-final stage against Nagoya Grampus, FC Tokyo eased past to sit comfortably on the semi-final. The memories of a staggering four-goal defeat at home against the rival still haunt the capital outfit and the Kenta Hasegawa boys are faced with a perfect opportunity for redemption. Another spate of ‘Tamagawa Classico’ is up for a dramatic narrative.

LIVE | Yokohama F・Marinos vs Kashiwa Reysol | 2020 J.LEAGUE YBC Levain CUP

Global fans can catch a LIVE broadcast of the 2020 J.LEAGUE YBC Levain CUP semi-finals between Yokohama F・Marinos and Kashiwa Reysol on our official J.LEAGUE International YouTube channel, airing on Wednesday, October 7th at 19:00 JST!

At the Nippatsu Mitsuzawa Stadium, Yokohama F. Marinos invite Kashiwa Reysol to their den. In the previous stage, Yokohama saw off Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo through a suspenseful penalty shoot-out. Collecting ten points in the past five league games, Yokohama have been a performer in the league and stand a fair chance for a place at the Cup final – a first in two years. The Yokohama arsenals are pivotal for their final round placement. Despite the unavailability of Júnior Santos due to contractual issues, his compatriot, Erik is expected to fill the void.

The 2013 J.League Cup winner, Kashiwa Reysol are spirited to return to the final stage for the first time in seven years. With marvelous records in the previous stages, Kashiwa have won all games in the Cup including a 3-0 slaughter against Cerezo Osaka in the quarterfinals. The 28-year-old midfielder, Ataru Esaka will play a key role in this fixture, having scored two goals during the previous stage, not to speak of league top scorer Michael Olunga and Cristiano who returned to training after sustaining an injury. Kashiwa, with 38 goals to their name on the league are prepared to menace the Yokohama custodian.

The two teams’ head-to-head last Sunday during the league campaign turned out to be a 1-3 victory for the F. Marinos. Reysol tactician, Nelsinho Baptista will again stand on a trial this Wednesday for what we call ‘the magic’.
