FC Tokyo striker Nathan Burns has been selected to represent Australia in the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup AFC Final Qualification play.
The 28-year-old will join the Socceroos when they host Iraq on September 1 before traveling to face United Arab Emirates on September 6.
“It’s an honour to be selected for Australia’s national team again,” Burns said.
“Some time has passed since the second round of qualifying, but I want to play well in Australia and UAE and come back to Tokyo with two wins.”
