Gakuto Notsuda has been awarded KONAMI Goal of the Month for June for his spectacular left-footed blast to help Sanfrecce Hiroshima to victory in Matchweek 17.
The Viola were trailing Cerezo Osaka, 1-0, when Notsuda got a bit of space in the 78th minute and hit a rocket from more than 25 yards. The shot left the goalkeeper no chance as it tucked into the top left corner for an equalizer.
Sanfrecce would scored another goal, completing the comeback that Notsuda started and taking home all three points as part of a great run of form that has catapulted the Viola into the top four of the table.
In J2, top goal honors went to Montedio Yamagata’s Hiroki Noda for a fabulous flying scissor kick on the full volley. Nada’s goal in Matchweek 23 against Vegalta Sendai started off the game in amazing fashion.
Noda’s goal would be Yamagata’s only tally in a 1-1 draw, helping the team take home a point.
Goal of the Month in J3 was awarded to Kataller Toyama’s Yohei Ono. He won a Matchweek 13 battle against Azul Claro Numazu in the third minute of stoppage time by running onto a ball and smashing it on the first touch for the lone goal of the contest.
