Kevin Muscat has been named Manager of the Month for July after his Yokohama F·Marinos team put together yet another unbeaten run.
Muscat has assembled a deadly attack that is best in the league and was on full display in July. Led by Léo Ceará, who scored six goals in the month to leap to the top of the league’s goal scoring chart, the Tricolor scored 14 goals in July to win three games and draw two more.
It is Muscat’s second Manager of the Month award after winning the first time in May when Marinos took over the top spot in the table. Marinos have kept first place ever since, guided by Muscat.
In J2, Roasso Kumamoto’s Takeshi Oki won Manager of the Month honors for July. His club collected 13 of a possible 18 points in the month after conceding just three goals in their six matches. The strong month moved Roasso Kumamoto into the promotion play-off places.
Fujieda MYFC’s Daisuke Sudo has been named Manager of the Month in J3 after a perfect July. Sudo’s side won all five of their matches in the month, scoring 11 and allowing three to put themselves squarely in the promotion fight.
