Cerezo Osaka earlier this week announced their signing of midfielder Kota Mizunuma on a season-long loan from FC Tokyo.

The 26-year-old joined Tokyo in 2016 after four seasons with Sagan Tosu, scoring one goal in 19 MEIJI YASUDA J1 League appearances. 

Mizunuma will be reunited with newly-appointed Cerezo manager Yoon Jong-hwan, who managed Sagan between 2011 and 2014.

“I want to thank everyone at Cerezo as well as Mr. Yoon for this opportunity. I want to play well and contribute to the team so that we can achieve our goals,” Mizunuma commented.
