Kota Tawaratsumida scored an absolutely mesmerizing goal in Matchweek 29, capping F.C.Tokyo’s 3-0 win over Gamba Osaka with a moment of brilliance nobody will forget. Now, he also has a trophy to remember that spectacular solo effort after being awarded Konami Goal of the Month honors.

Tawaratsumida took the ball in midfield and drove down the left, landing himself near the sideline with two Gamba defenders closing on him and no teammates to help. Despite facing the sideline, Tawaratsumida managed to flick the ball between one defender’s legs towards goal, turn between both Gamba players and run towards goal before finishing with a perfect curling shot from a tight angle.

It was a goal Tawaratsumida will never forget.

Konami Goal of the Month in J2 was given to Fujieda MYFC’s Kazaki Nakagawa for his Matchweek 40 rocket. And, as if Nakagawa’s fabulous strike wasn’t enough, it was the only goal of the match as he delivered his side full points.

In J3, Konami Goal of the Month went to Yuma Funabashi for his 30-yard bomb off the half-volley to kick off a 3-0 win for AC Nagano Parceiro.
