The Meiji Yasuda J1 League season is only one week old, but we already have three players with multiple goals on the campaign as they set the pace early in the Top Scorer race.
Yuki Ohashi scored twice in his Sanfrecce Hiroshima debut to lead his new side to victory. Ohashi scored 13 goals last season and with the quality of the Three Arrows, he may find himself even higher this year.
Ryotaro Araki was also on the mark in his club debut as the 22-year-old notched two of his own to earn FC Tokyo a 2-2 draw.
Hayato Nakama was just as good, also scoring two. His double led the way in Kashima Antlers' dominating 3-0 win to kick off the season.
It was a big kick off to the new season with 18 other goal scorers joining Ohashi, Araki and Nakama on the scoresheet. The race to 2024 J1 Top Scorer is already off to a flying start.
