Yosuke Furukawa was the class of the #NextGenJLEAGUE crop in June as he put in some star performances for Júbilo Iwata to win Young Player of the Month honors.
Furukawa was an impact player for Júbilo, changing matches off the bench and even getting on the scoresheet in a 3-0 win over Tokyo Verdy with a tally so good it earned him Goal of the Month.
The 21-year-old Furukawa is one of the league’s most exciting young talents, consistently showing skill and inventiveness coming off the wing.
Yusei Ozaki took home Young Player of the Month in J2 for a sterling June on the Ehime FC back line. The 20-year-old has been a fixture this season and has shown exceptional defensive skill, but in June he added a pair of assists too as he shone on both ends of the pitch.
Kosei Okazawa took home the award in J3 after impressing in the FC Ryukyu midfield yet again. Okazawa, who is on loan from Cerezo Osaka, even added a goal in June, rounding out a terrific month for the 20-year-old.
