Vissel Kobe on Monday announced the signing of striker Mike Havenaar on a full transfer from Dutch side ADO Den Haag.

The Hiroshima-born attacker made his professional debut in 2006, playing for Yokohama F. Marinos, Avispa Fukuoka, Sagan Tosu, and Ventforet Kofu before joining Vitesse in 2012.

Havenaar, who celebrated his 30th birthday in May, is a naturalised Japanese citizen and has 18 senior caps for the Samurai Blue.

“I want to give it my all and challenge myself in this new environment,” Havenaar said. “I look forward to meeting Vissel Kobe’s fans and supporters.”
