Léo Ceará is still the Meiji Yasuda J1 League’s leading scorer after the Cerezo Osaka man found the back of the next again in Matchweek 17, taking him up to 13 goals on the year.

The Brazilian finished off a gorgeous move by Cerezo with a simple finish to give him 11 tallies in his last 12 matches.

Ryo Germain, who has paced the league in goals for most of the season, is in second place on 11.

Anderson Lopes had a massive week in his bid to defend his Top Scorer crown from last season. The Yokohama F·Marinos striker scored a hat trick in midweek action before adding another over the weekend to bring him up to 10 on the season.

Yuma Suzuki kept his good run of form going as he continues to invigorate Kashima Antlers’ title push. The forward scored his eighth goal of the campaign in a massive win that has Kashima level at the top of the table with FC Machida Zelvia.

Finally, Yudai Kimura is leading the #NextGenJLEAGUE crop after his two-goal effort for Tokyo Verdy in a 5-3 win over Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo. The 23-year-old is now up to eight goals on the season, tied with Suzuki for fourth place on the league’s scoring chart.
