The Meiji Yasuda J1 League season has come to a close, and just like last year, Vissel Kobe reign supreme.

Let’s see how they captured the crown and all the other action from the season’s final day:

Vissel Kobe 3, Shonan Bellmare 0

Vissel knew a win would clinch them the title and they put on a show, with Taisei Miyashiro, Yoshinori Muto and Takahiro Ogihara all scoring to set off celebrations in Kobe.

Gamba Osaka 3, Sanfrecce Hiroshima 1

Sanfrecce entered the day knowing they needed a result to have any chance of winning the league, but Isa Sakamoto scored his first of two goals in the 13th minute and Gamba sprinted off to victory for a fourth place finish that qualifies them for the AFC Champions League Two next year.

Kashima Antlers 3, FC Machida Zelvia 1

Zelvia were long shots for the title on the final day and needed a victory to have any hope, but Shu Morooka and Yuta Higuchi put Antlers two goals up inside of 16 minutes as Kashima ended their season on a high note.

Kyoto Sanga 0, Tokyo Verdy 0

Both sides had plenty of looks at goal, with each taking 15 shots, but few found the frame and none found the goal as Sanga and Verdy split the points.

FC Tokyo 3, Cerezo Osaka 0

The capital club ended the season in fine form as Teruhito Nakagawa, Takahiro Ko and Henrique Trevisan all found the back of the net on a brilliant day at Ajinomoto Stadium.

Kawasaki Frontale 3, Avispa Fukuoka 1

Frontale wrapped up their campaign with a second consecutive win as Akihiro Ienaga, Yu Kobayashi and Marcinho had them 3-0 up by the 48th minute to delight the crowd in Kawasaki.

Yokohama F·Marinos 0, Nagoya Grampus 2

Ryuji Izumi gave Nagoya the lead and Yuya Yamagishi put the match away to send the visitors to victory in Yokohama.

Urawa Reds 0, Albirex Niigata 0

The Reds defense was excellent, but Albi answered with a defensive masterclass of their own in a stalemate.

Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo 1, Kashiwa Reysol 0

Sapporo were already confirmed to be relegated, but they fought hard on the final day and were rewarded as Tomoki Kondo’s goal delivered them full points.

Sagan Tosu 3, Júbilo Iwata 0

Sagan had a difficult season at the bottom of the table, but they gave their fans reason to cheer on the final day as Marcelo Ryan’s brace led a thrilling victory in Tosu.
