Nagoya Grampus on Thursday announced the signing of Vissel Kobe’s Michihiro Yasuda, with the defender looking forward to winning silverware.

The former Vitesse man and Samurai Blue player made 12 league appearances for Nelsinho’s side in 2015.

“I’m incredibly happy to be joining a big club like Nagoya Grampus with such history,” Yasuda commented. 

“This season I’ll run, fight, and play with all of my strength for the club. I hope that all of the players, coach Takafumi Ogura, our staff, our supporters, and everyone who loves Nagoya can unite to win a title. 

“I look forward to meeting everyone.”

The side are looking to improve on consecutive mid-tables finishes under past manager Akira Nishino in their past two seasons.
