The J.League on Monday announced that TRF vocalist YU-KI will sing the Japanese national anthem before the 2015 Yamazaki Nabisco Cup final on October 31.
The singer is known for her work with seminal Japanese pop group TRF, who produced a string of chart-topping hits in the 1990s.
In addition to her career as a musician, YU-KI has frequently appeared in musical productions across Japan and released her first fashion book, “BE NUDE”, earlier in 2015.
Kashima Antlers and Gamba Osaka are the two teams that will contest the final of the trophy in the final, which kicks off at 13:05 JST at Saitama Stadium.
