The J.League Under-16 Challenge League’s first two groups concluded with Kashima Antlers celebrating after an exciting four days of play at the end of March.
In cooperation with co-sponsors Japan Foundation Asia Center, the J.League invited four clubs from across Southeast Asia to participate in the 40-team event.
Kashima Antlers won Group 2 at the Bokudennosato Sports Park Multipurpose Stadium in Ibaraki. Malaysia representatives Frenz United finished in fourth place, meanwhile.
Shonan Bellmare came close to matching Antlers’ feat in Group 1, but were unable to pip Thailand’s Chonburi FC at the summit.
