Ado Onaiwu has left Yokohama F·Marinos after the club agreed to sell the forward to Toulouse FC in France’s Ligue 2.
Onaiwu is currently second in the 2021 MEIJI YASUDA J1 LEAGUE with 12 goals, having helped pace the Marinos attack as they surged to second place in the table. The 25-year-old’s outstanding play in Yokohama also earned him his first two caps for the Japan national team, for which he scored three goals.
As Marinos have confirmed the transfer, Onaiwu will now join a club that finished in third place last season and is aiming to earn promotion to the French top flight.
