Kim Min-tae has been selected to join South Korea’s Under-22 national team for an upcoming tournament, his club Vegalta Sendai announced on Tuesday.
South Korea will face the U-22 sides of Morocco, Colombia, and competition hosts China later in November.
“It’s an honour to have been selected, and I hope I can use this experience to improve,” Kim commented via his club.
The 21-year-old midfielder has been rewarded with his call-up after featuring heavily for Vegalta since joining them in January.
Since forcing himself into Susumu Watanabe’s plans in May, Kim has gone on to record a return of four goals from 17 outings.
