Vegalta Sendai on Monday announced the signing of striker Rafaelson on a season-long loan from Brazil’s Vitoria.
The 20-year-old made his senior team debut in 2015 and contributed to Vitoria’s promotion to Brazil’s Serie A. He has also participated in two state championship-winning campaigns.
“I’m incredibly happy to join Vegalta Sendai. I didn’t hesitate for one moment when I received this offer,” Rafaelson said. “I want to give over 100 per cent to make this 2018 a fantastic season.
“The moment I watched videos of our supporters I fell in love. I want to score a lot of goals in order to meet the expectations of everyone involved with the club.
“Thank you for your support.”
