FC Tokyo on Monday confirmed midfielder Takuji Yonemoto has suffered an injury to his left medial cruciate ligament.
The 24-year-old suffered the injury 20 minutes into last Saturday’s MEIJI YASUDA J1 League matchday 14, when the capital side beat Kashiwa Reysol 2-1.
Yonemoto, who was named both New Hero and MVP of the 2009 Yamazaki Nabisco Cup, has played 14 games in midfield for Tokyo this season.
