FC Tokyo have announced the conclusion of their contract with Australian midfielder Nathan Burns.

The Socceroo regular joined the club in 2015, scoring a total of three goals from 26 league appearances. 

He did not make any appearances in the current MEIJI YASUDA J1 League campaign, but came on four times during the 2017 J.League YBC Levain Cup group stage.

“I’m very sad to leave this club and the friends I have made. My two years in Tokyo have been an incredibly valuable experience,” Burns said. 

“I’m proud to have worn the No. 16 shirt, and I was fortunate to have such great team-mates and coaching staff."
