Sagan Tosu on Monday announced the transfer of midfielder Jumpei Kusukami to Australia’s Western Sydney Wanderers.

The 28-year-old, who has previously played for Kawasaki Frontale and Cerezo Osaka, will attempt his first challenge overseas with the 2014 AFC Champions League winners.

“It’s difficult to leave Sagan Tosu after just half a season, but I hope I can use my experience here to continue to grow and play well for my new team,” Kusukami said. 

“Even in Australia, I’ll continue to hope for Sagan Tosu’s success. Thank you for your support over the last six months.”
