Kyoto Sanga on Friday announced that 19-year-old midfielder Masaya Okugawa will join Red Bull Salzburg this summer on a full transfer.
Okugawa’s final game for the MEIJI YASUDA J2 League club, whose academy he joined in 2009, will come on 14th June, when Sanga host Yokohama FC.
The Japan Under-19 member scored his first professional goal on Saturday against Oita Trinita, netting the opener in a 2-2 draw at Oita Bank Dome.
It had been the rising star’s fourth game in Kyoto colours this term.
