Yokohama FC have renewed the contract of 53-year-old forward Kazuyoshi Miura for the 2021 J.LEAGUE season.
At the symbolic time of 11:11 on the 11th of January, the legendary No. 11 of Japanese football was announced as a member of next season’s squad, thus solidifying his 36th professional campaign.
Known around the world as “King Kazu,” Miura was the inaugural J.LEAGUE MVP, holds the record as the oldest player in the MEIJI YASUDA J1 LEAGUE, and now has senior appearances in the sport across five different decades.
