Urawa Reds on Wednesday announced the arrivals of Albirex Niigata midfielder Rafael Silva and JEF United Chiba striker Ado Onaiwu.

24-year-old Silva scored 11 goals for Albirex this season, while Onaiwu was registered as a back-up member for Japan’s 2016 Rio Olympic squad.

“It’s an incredible honour to join this club,” Silva commented. “I’m coming to Urawa to win titles and in order to do that I’ll play with everything I have.”

Onaiwu also issued a statement, saying: “I look forward to working hard in order to stand on the Saitama Stadium pitch as quickly as possible.”
