FC Tokyo have announced the return of former left-back Kosuke Ota on a full transfer from Dutch side Vitesse.
The 29-year-old, who spent four seasons at Tokyo before from 2012 to 2015, has made 26 appearances in the Eredivisie after moving to the Netherlands in 2016.
“I’m happy to once again be able to play for the team I love at Ajinomoto Stadium. I’ve come back for one reason, and that is to help FC Tokyo win the J.League,” Ota commented.
“I’m grateful to club president Naoki Ogane and general manager Takayuki Tateishi for their efforts which made this transfer possible.
“I hope your support will be louder than ever in 2017.”
The club has also announced the departure of Brazilian attacker Muriqui, who arrived on loan in April.
