The Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Preparation Track for Athletes (“Athlete Track") measures will be observed by the AFC Champions League participants F.C.Tokyo, Yokohama F・Marinos and Vissel Kobe.
The Athlete Track is a measure conceived for the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games that allows athletes designated by the JOC and related personnel to conduct athletic activities (training, participating in competitions, etc.) during the 14-day quarantine period following return from overseas. The Japan Professional Football League, in collaboration with the Japan Football Association, has made a request through the Japanese Olympic Committee to the Secretariat of the Headquarters for Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Japan Sports Agency to apply the Athlete Track measures to the three teams mentioned above. As a result, in addition to athletes designated by the JOC, the Athlete Track measures will be observed by the players and teammates of F.C.Tokyo, Yokohama F・Marinos and Vissel Kobe.
The Athlete Track will be applied to the three teams to allow them to participate in trainings and matches during the 14-day period following their return to Japan on the condition that they will undertake additional control measures, such as health and activity management in accordance with the Athlete Track Application Guideline set by the JFA and J.League before, during and in the 14 days following their participation in the AFC Champions League 2020 in Qatar.
[Summary of additional control measures (from the Athlete Track Application Guideline)]
