JEF United Chiba dominated in a 2-0 victory over Nagoya Grampus during Saturday’s MEIJI YASUDA J2 League action.
The opening goal came shortly before half-time, when Takaharu Nishino headed in Jorge Salinas’ free kick.
Substitute Koki Kiyotake then scored the clincher deep into second half stoppage time, handing Grampus their first-ever J2 loss.
In the day’s other match, Yoshiaki Takagi netted a brace alongside goals by Alan Pinheiro and Akira Ibayashi as Tokyo Verdy eased to a 4-0 home win over Mito Hollyhock.
