Nagoya Grampus on Monday announced a pair of key offensive signings as they prepare to mount their campaign for promotion in the 2017 MEIJI YASUDA J2 League season.
The club will bring on V-Varen Nagasaki striker Ryo Nagai on a full transfer in addition to signing midfielder Kazuya Miyahara on a season-long loan from Sanfrecce Hiroshima.
“I hope to score enough goals to make fans remember “Ryo” as Nagoya Grampus’ Nagai,” said the 17-goal-scorer, referring to the club’s previous ace Kensuke Nagai who departed at the end of this season.
“This was an incredibly difficult decision for me but I believe that it will give me an opportunity to step up as a player,” commented Miyahara.
“I want to work hard every day in order to help Grampus return to the J1.”
