Kashiwa Reysol on Friday announced the departure of Tetsuro Ota from the club.
The 27-year-old, who matriculated through Reysol’s academy system, began his pro career with Montedio Yamagata in 2008 before returning to Kashiwa in 2013.
“Kashiwa Reysol are a special club for me. Including my youth days I’ve spent 12 years here and each one has been a blessing,” the midfielder said.
“I’m grateful for our fans, supporters and everyone involved with the club. Even if I change teams I’ll continue to support Kashiwa Reysol. Thank you for the last four years.”
Ota had made just five appearances in the 2016 MEIJI YASUDA J1 League season as Reysol finished eighth in the overall table.
