Marinos set to clash with F.C.Tokyo as push for second straight title continues

The fight between Yokohama F·Marinos and Vissel Kobe could not be closer, with the two teams tied atop the Meiji Yasuda J1 League table. That makes every point in the last 11 games of the season absolutely vital, and Marinos will be trying to take a full three when they meet F.C.Tokyo on Saturday at 7:30 pm JST in a match that will be streamed live on the J.League International YouTube channel.

The Tricolor are coming off a big win, having dispatched Gamba Osaka last weekend. They snapped the Nerazzurri’s eight-match unbeaten streak and did it despite finishing down a man. It was a massive victory that allowed them to keep pace with Vissel and showed that while they certainly have the skill and flash to repeat as champions, they also have the grit and fight.

F.C.Tokyo will not make life easy for Marinos, though. They are winners of their last two and will certainly want to get the best of their Kanagawa rivals. Will they be able to upend the Tricolor and deal them a blow in their title fight, or will Marinos take full points in their pursuit of the crown?

The J.League announced that up to four matches will be streamed live each week for the 2023 season, bringing one of Asia’s top league’s to fans around the world. The streams will be free to view on the J.League International YouTube channel in any country that does not have an existing rights agreement.
