Jubilo Iwata on Friday announced their agreement with Holland’s SC Heerenveen regarding the full transfer of midfielder Yuki Kobayashi.

The 24-year-old, who arrived at Yamaha Stadium in mid-2012, will play his final MEIJI YASUDA J1 match against Gamba Osaka on Saturday.

He will then travel to the Dutch club to complete his medical check before signing his contract.

“There were long periods of time when I struggled at Jubilo, but I was able to overcome them thanks to the support of my coaches, team-mates, and our fans,” Kobayashi said. 

“I’m grateful to the club for welcoming brat like me four years ago. And I want to thank our supporters, who always cheered me on through good times and bad, from the bottom of my heart.”
