Jubilo Iwata defender Kentaro Ohi will require three weeks to recover from a torn muscle in his left thigh, the club announced on Thursday.
The 32-year-old suffered the injury in his team’s 1-1 draw against Sagan Tosu on August 20.
Ohi had played every single minute of the regular season for Jubilo before the injury, receiving just two cautions over the course of 26 matches.
Jubilo just won their first match of the MEIJI YASUDA J1 League, beating Avispa Fukuoka 3-2 in midweek.
