J.League Top Scorer Watch: Léo Ceará rises back to top

Léo Ceará spent months all alone atop the Meiji Yasuda J1 League scoring chart, but a hot streak by Anderson Lopes created a tie for first place over the last couple weeks. That draw is a thing of the past, though, as Léo Ceará scored his 18th goal of the season in Matchweek 30 to reclaim his place at the summit.

The Cerezo Osaka star got on the scoresheet with a towering header from a corner kick as his team fell to Vissel Kobe, 2-1.

Anderson Lopes now sits a goal behind his compatriot in the fight for Top Scorer and Ryo Germain is in third place with 15 goals.

Yuma Suzuki and Marcelo Ryan are still on 12 goals, putting them in a three-way tie for fourth place with Shin Yamada, who scored a stoppage time winner for Kawasaki Frontale.
