Following the board meeting held today on Tuesday, December 19th, 2023, the J.League has decided to implement a seasonal transition from the 2026/27 season and to continue to consider any remaining issues related to the matter.

During the deliberation process, we have clarified the J.League's next vision and determined that a “season transition” should be implemented in order to achieve this vision.

This resolution has decided that the 2026/27 season will begin approximately the first week of August 2026, with a winter break then held from around the second week of December until around the third week of February 2027. The season will then conclude the final week of May 2027.

We will continue to consider any remaining issues in preparation for implementing the seasonal transition.
