JEF manager Sekizuka resigns

JEF United Chiba on Monday announced the resignation of manager Takashi Sekizuka.

The former Japan Under-23 coach took over at the J2 League club in July 2014, finishing that season in third place but falling to Montedio Yamagata in the J1 Promotional Playoff Final.

Team coach Shigetoshi Hasebe will take over as manager for JEF, who are currently in ninth place in the 2016 MEIJI YASUDA J2 League with a record of just eight wins.

They have slipped to nine draws and eight defeats in total.
