Kyoto Sanga F.C. traveling to Kawasaki Frontale’s home ground, secured their first win of the season with a 1-0 victory, thanks to Masaya Okugawa’s decisive goal in the 49th minute.

The 2025 MEIJI YASUDA J1 LEAGUE continued with six matches on March 2nd, where Kashiwa Reysol's victory over Urawa Reds propelled them to the top of the table.
Facing Urawa away, Kashiwa took the lead in the 14th minute through Tomoya Koyamatsu, followed by Yuki Kakita’s goal in the 31st minute, securing a 2-0 victory. This win extended Kashiwa’s unbeaten run, taking them to 10 points and surpassing Shonan on goal difference to claim first place. Meanwhile, Urawa’s winless streak continued, failing to secure a victory in their first four matches.
Sanfrecce Hiroshima, hosting Yokohama FC, saw rookie Sota Nakamura net a 78th-minute winner, securing a 1-0 victory and maintaining their unbeaten streak.
FC Machida Zelvia, visiting Nagoya Grampus, took an early lead in the 13th minute through Takuma Nishimura. Although Nagoya equalized, Na Sangho restored the lead in the 74th minute, securing a 2-1 win. Nagoya, suffered their third defeat, sinking to the bottom of the table.
At Gamba Osaka’s home ground, Issam Jebali scored the winning goal in the 85th minute, securing a 1-0 victory over Tokyo Verdy. In a home fixture against Shimizu S-Pulse, Fagiano Okayama fell behind in the 68th minute but managed to equalize in the 75th minute through Takaya Kimura, ending the match in a 1-1 draw.
Albirex Niigata, hosting Cerezo Osaka, took the lead in the 17th minute through Ken Yamura. Though they conceded an equalizer in the 28th minute, Motoki Hasegawa restored their lead in the 62nd minute. However, in stoppage time (90+1 minute), Rafael Ratao netted a late equalizer, forcing a 2-2 draw, denying Niigata their first win of the season.
