Nagoya Grampus defender Kazuki Sato will miss up to four weeks due to an injury to his left knee, his club confirmed on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old suffered the injury while warming up before the club's 4-0 loss to Vissel Kobe in a Yamazaki Nabisco Cup group match last Wednesday.
A product of the club's youth academy, Sato has recorded one appearance off the bench for Grampus this season.
The Aichi-based club have taken 19 points and are currently eighth in the MEIJI YASUDA J1 League this season.
