Gamba Osaka announced the final results of their new stadium fundraising efforts following the completion of their subsidy applications on Thursday.
The club raised nearly 14.1 billion yen (US$114 million) for the stadium project, surpassing their original target of 14 billion yen.
Support in the form of 9.95 billion yen came from 721 corporations, while subsidies and grants accounted for 3.5 billion yen. 34,627 individuals also weighed in with 622 million yen.
The new grounds that will be used exclusively for football and can accommodate 40,000 fans will be completed in fall 2015, and be open in time for the 2016 J.League season.
