Fukushima United on Thursday announced the signing of midfielder Nilton, marking his return to the J.League for the first time in two years.
The 24-year-old, who most recently plied his trade for Brazil’s Esporte Clube Taubate, came to Japan in 2014 for Tokyo Verdy and spent the following season at Consadole Sapporo.
Nilton, who scored a total of two goals from 37 J2 appearances as well as one goal in four Emperor’s Cup matches, said: “I’m full of energy as I begin this new challenge in Japan.
“I want to thank the coaching staff and front office for believing in me, and I want to return the favor for their warm welcome on the pitch.”
