Frontale’s push to climb table takes them to Gamba Osaka

Kawasaki Frontale picked up a big win last week to begin their climb up the table and now they try to keep their rise going when they visit Gamba Osaka on Sunday at 3 pm JST in a match that will be streamed live on the J.League International YouTube channel.

Frontale are used to success, having won four of the last six Meiji Yasuda J1 League titles, but they won just one of their first five matches this season, putting them well below where they are normally in the table. A dramatic three points last week, capped by Yusuke Segawa’s late winner, has them back on the front foot, though. Now they are set on making their way back among the top teams.

Gamba are still in search of their first win of the season, having drawn three and lost three to begin the campaign. Takashi Usami has paced an attack that has been decent, but the defense has allowed the most goals in the league so improvements at the back are a must if they want to celebrate a victory in front of their home crowd on Sunday.

The J.League announced that up to four matches will be streamed live each week for the 2023 season, bringing one of Asia’s top league’s to fans around the world. The streams will be free to view on the J.League International YouTube channel in any country that does not have an existing rights agreement.
