F. Marinos renew Mombaerts contract

Yokohama F. Marinos confirmed they have renewed the contract of manager Erick Mombaerts for the 2016 season.

The former France U-21 coach joined the club in December 2014, achieving an overall seventh-place finish in his debut MEIJI YASUDA J1 League season.

However, F.Marinos will be looking to improve their record in cup competitions next term, after they bowed out of the group stages of the Yamazaki Nabisco Cup and the fourth round of the Emperor’s Cup.

The club also announced the release of defender Takashi Amano, striker Takuro Yajima, defender Yusuke Higa and striker Jin Hanato.
