Sagan Tosu on Wednesday announced the signing of striker Victor Ibarbo on a season-long loan from Italy’s Cagliari.

The 26-year-old, who has played for Atletico Nacional as well as Roma, Watford and Panathinaikos, has 15 senior caps for Colombia’s national team.

“I have heard that Japan is a wonderful country from many friends who have played here, and they as well as members of our national team have praised the high level of the J.League,” Ibarbo commented.

“In addition to showcasing the skills I have developed as a player, I want to become an even better person both on and off the pitch by learning the Japanese way of composure and humility.”
