Léo Ceará is still the top scorer in the Meiji Yasuda J1 League with 16 goals, but the fight for first place is heating up after Ryo Germain and Anderson Lopes both found the back of the net in Matchweek 25 to close in on the Cerezo Osaka star.
Germain scored a pair of goals for Júbilo Iwata, bringing them back from 2-0 down for a 2-2 draw.
Germain is now up to 15 goals on the season, one back of Léo Ceará.
Anderson Lopes, who was joint Top Scorer a year ago, is now up to 14 goals on the campaign after scoring in Yokohama F·Marinos’ 3-2 win over Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo.
After the top three, Lukian, Yuki Ohashi and Marcelo Ryan are all tied for fourth place on 11 goals.
