FC Tokyo midfielder Naohiro Ishikawa has received surgery on his left knee, the club announced on Friday.
The 35-year-old veteran, who injured the knee in training on July 2, is expected to require two months of recovery.
The former Japan international, who represented Japan at the 2004 Athens Olympics, has yet to make an appearance this season.
Tokyo have had to endure the loss of Takuji Yonemoto, who appears out for the season, in recent days as well.
