Cerezo's Brazilian sensation found the back of the net with a clever run and tidy finish to earn Cerezo Osaka a 1-1 draw at Tokyo Verdy to take him up to 16 goals on the season.
The Brazilian has now tallied 14 times in the last 17 matches.
Germain, who led the league in goals early in the season, snapped a four-match goalless streak with the opening score in Júbilo Iwata’s 2-2 draw with Kawasaki Frontale.
Germain is now tied with Yokohama F·Marinos’ Anderson Lopes for second place with 12 goals.
Yuma Suzuki picked up two terrific assists for Kashima Antlers in Matchweek 22, but did not find the back of the net, remaining on 10 goals. He is tied with Sagan Tosu’s Marcelo Ryan for fourth place on the goalscoring chart.
