Ryo Germain is still the Meiji Yasuda J1 League’s top goal scorer and he extended his lead in Matchweek 12 with his 11th tally of the season.
Germain picked up a ball in the midfield, passed it wide and then got to the front of goal, where he skied high over a group of other players to nod the ball home.
The Júbilo Iwata striker jumped to the top of the league’s goal scoring chart with a spectacular four-goal showing in Matchweek 2, but he’s not slowed up and is in arguably his best sustained form of the season now with four goals in the last four games.
The rest of the league’s top five scorers did not find the back of the net in Matchweek 12, leaving Cerezo Osaka’s Léo Ceará still on nine goals, Sanfrecce Hiroshoma’s Yuki Ohashi on seven and both Yokohama F·Marinos’ Anderson Lopes and Avispa Fukuoka’s Shahab Zahedi on six goals.
