Kawasaki Frontale captain Kengo Nakamura could miss the remainder of his side’s matches in July after suffering an injury to his right foot.
The 35-year-old playmaker suffered a sprained right ankle, along with internal bruising in his foot.
Nakamura during his team’s 3-0 win at Nagoya Grampus last Saturday in the 2016 MEIJI YASUDA J1 League Second Stage Round 2.
Team doctors have estimated Nakamura’s recovery time at three to four weeks, inflicting a blow to First Stage runners-up in their bid to clinch silverware this term.
