Avispa Fukuoka on Monday announced the transfer of defender Takehiro Tomiyasu to Belgian Pro League side Sint-Truiden.

The 19-year-old, who was promoted from Avispa’s academy side in 2015, scored one goal in 35 MEIJI YASUDA J2 League appearances last season.

“I have decided to leave the club to which I have belonged for seven years, and want to thank everyone at Avispa Fukuoka for making me into who I am today,” Tomiyasu said. 

“There will be many obstacles ahead of me, and I want to clear all of them with Avispa pride.”
